Just checking - with Egg, as a new customer with a new account, I can continue to BT until May (but anniversary, can only BT in 1st month)?

That's quite correct - you should only balance transfer to the Egg card in the FIRST month of the five month anniversary offer period.

As to 'who paid' you it's a bit late to try this of course but you could have requested slightly different transfer amounts [eg £1 different] in the first place and would now in possession of that vital fact ;D
