Looking for Replacement EI 150 Mains / Battery Smoke Alarm

Trying to get a smoke alarm as a drop in replacement for the above. Found this http://www.eielectronics.com/ei151TL.php on the manufacturers website but have not had any luck in getting it. Have mailed the manufacturer for more info (no online store I can see) but was wondering if anyone knows where I can get hold of one?

Cheap is good but would rather not take a risk with Trotters Independent Trading.

Well the only cheap one i can recommend is from your local fire station - free. Thats were we got replacements , they have a 10yr battery in them, with a promise to get back in touch for a replacement when we need it.They fit them for you as well plus advice on fire safety.
I think all fire stations offer this now, give your local one a ring and ask.

Hi Fox I had a similar problem with a drop in fire alarm. It seemed silly to buy a different one when the hard wiring was already in place. I just phoned around all my local electrical companies and they were really helpful and although that model had been discontinued one company managed to get hold of one for me.
