Somewhere between 30 and 45% probably, but I live with my parents who get about another 17% as rent. That saving total covers money that is left at the end of a normal month, I guess, so some of the that money would go towards annual expenditure on holidays and car maintenance.

I save about 35%, that's about £400 for me. That's not all what I would call "proper" savings though, as some of that will be used to pay for annual things like car tax / insurance and Christmas.

You'll get a skewed sample from here - the average person saves something like 6% at the moment, and is used to be less!!

Anyway, at the moment I earn around £2400 after tax, and in the average month over the last year have "saved" just over £1000 - actually slightly less as that includes saving and investment income.
Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!

I shall boast a little and say that I save 70-75% each month. Although we have had 2 holidays this year which I paid mainly for, so Im not doing as well as I should be.
I come out with 1450, have 200pcm bills & living I buy whatever I want, but I dont really ever want much! I am tihnking of treating myself though and buying a 2nd hand vehicle though but wont spend more than 3k,.

I aim to save 1k a month, not including other additions like money I get from ebay/mystery shopping etc.

I have not been quite as tight on the purse strings as I used to be and I regret that a bit. Trying to turn over a new leaf part way through the year.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
