New Pc?

Im looking to buy a new computer but am totally bewildered by it all, what i need is a pc which will allow me to burn dvds which i can then preferbly watch on my telly through my pc, i would also like it to recieve digital tv, does anybody have any experience with windows media package as apposed to xp? I also need a tft screen, if at all possible i would like al this for around the 500 mark, ive seen a few on ebay, but yet again feel a bit confused by it all. This machine will mostley be used for music and dvd along with inrternet useage and a bit of gameplaying. If anyone can help me in finding something i would be very grateful.
