back statement costs

Hi
Dont know if anyone can help but I need to get my back statements from my credit card company but the want me to pay £5 a copy can they charge me this much? if not what is the max they can charge
I dont want to make myself look like a idiot when I contact them

    Why not just access the account online and print the statements off?

    Failing that issue them a subject access request under the data protection act which will cost £10 but that should be cheaper if you require more than 2 statements
