But I don't know though, TV property shows are soooo 2005 - don't ya think?
Anyway clashes with me MSE forums, so addictive :rotfl: :j
Can you put that in plain English for us plebs, Ian?
Seriously, I'd be interested in your opinion of the programme after you've seem it. So make sure you give up MSE to watch it

Fortunately, having been in the car trade before (not as a Salesperson, but Marketing) I know virtually all the techniques. Even the hot coffee one!
I will be very interested in viewing this programme.
What's the hot coffee technique? Please share :-)The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -

I think Your Moves are franchises, so no overall strategy, but I did notice this at a London branch back in 2001 - I was determined to find a property through them as they did seem to be marketing property at less than the other local agents. Got gazumped on one (no surprise there really) but got the second. Nice staff too but you can bet we didn't use them to sell!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

OMG what a bunch of parasites.
HM Customs & Excise and the fraud squad might have something to say about that lot!
Just Shocking.0 -
Did everyone like my friend Barry? :rotfl:
Somehow, I still think he'll be at work tomorrow morning. I'm interested to hear what other people think as there were no surprises there for me.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

nah no shockers, as they said just "unregulated twits in suits"You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on0

No surprises for me there either Doozergirl.
It is important to remember that this is not indicitive of the marketplace as a whole and that they focussed on only 2-3 companies out of the countless numbers of others they would have also investigated.
That said, surprised or not, I agree that the conduct is deplorable and is exactly the reason I set up on my own 2 years ago so that I am away from that kind of 'sales target' enviroment.
That mortgage broker should go to prison though, that is absolutely disgusting what he was doing, I would report him myself if I had known someone doing that.
I think there will be a lot of managers having quiet words with their staff tomorrow

I sat gobsmacked through the whole thing. No offence Doozer, but I thought your friend was the worst. The whole making light of illegal practice, not looking at you in the eyes while he's talking and then DENYING straight faced the things he had said and even that he took the journalist's camera bag... I do wish him out of that job, in fact that whole line of work, sad to hear he is not actually being suspended for this.
That's not to say that the people in Foxtons were any better, but they just struck me as minions, doing what they're told. It's obvious the problem lies at the top, with the people in charge turning a blind eye or even encouraging this disgusting practice.
The guy handing out fake documents and passports.. well that was just surreal.
Thankfully not all agents are like that...0
