First step in claim

After a long time, havering about whether or not to claim charges - after years of thinking that if I've gone into the red and incurred charges, I've got no-one to blame but myself, it has dawned on me that what I can claim back is unfair and excessive bank charges.

Last Thursday, Co-op Bank refused a dd for £17.60 - because I would have been £12.00 over my £200 o/d allowance - money reaches the bank on Friday. They charged me £30 for this - which meant that I was now £25.40 over my o/d allowance ! Then yesterday, another d/d was rejected because that would take me £4.80 over my o/d allowance ...and a further £30 has been charged.

So no more Mrs I'msosorrybank - would you like some more of my money ...I've sent off letter no 1 as per the template!!

I must admit to having butterflies in stomach at having taken such a step .....I did throw a strop at the bank yesterday and cancelled all my d/ds and told them what I intended doing!

Sod, just do it and don't throw a strop in the branch cos it isn't their fault. The people whose fault it is never work in the branches.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
