Where to go Turkey or Cyprus??

Hi all me and my partner are looking to go away around 13th June we've got £1000 saved so far.We were thinking about going SC But could be tempted to go AI if a good deal was to be found.Trouble is we can't make are mind up where to go.I've been advised to go to Turkey as its not Euro's and will be cheaper but where's nice to go in Turkey? we dont want to be stuck with group on a 18-30's.hol.

Last year we went to Cyprus Paphos (Coral Bay) which was excellent & very hot :j we were looking at Protaras for this year but with the pound being so weak against the Euro would we be better off in Turkey?

Places in Turkey we were looking at were:
Marmaris
Side
Olu Deniz
any thoughts?

What about the north of Cyprus? That is part of Turkey so would have the same currency benefits, and I think is less built up and touristy.

Near Ankara there is an amazing place in Turkey that looks like a lunar landscape, I really fancy going there, and to Istanbul and then a few days on the coast...

Will look into that. The reason we were looking at Protaras is the misses has been there a few times & loves it Once the misses has her heart set on a place thats it :rotfl:

I would choose Cyprus over Turkey even if it were a little more expensive.

Just back from Cyprus,paid £99 each for a week in Protaras.Some good deals on Libra hoildays site at the moment.

Thanks for that well it looks like it Cyprus we want to go. cheapest i've found is with Thomas Cook at mo £565 for a week Self Catering.Ill check out Libra Holidays
