Tiling on painted plasterboard walls

I have painted plaster board walls in my bathroom. Can stick tiles straight on to this? Would it be advisable to give the walls a blast with the sander to rough them up a little?
Many thanks
Kevin

Youn can not tile on paint

Walls will have to be sanded and scraped to remove paint

Once removed prime with Primer G from Mapei

    Do not use PVA

Yes - it would be advisable to give a sand first. Once done you should not need to put any "Mapei" products or anything on there if you tile well!!

Maybe the Mapei salesman will disagree - whatever - check out tilersforums.com for all advice and help on tiling. Great guys and you will get good, sound, quick advice.
