Returning items abroad

I bought a digital camcorder on Ebay from a seller in Taiwan and when it arrived a week ago, it seemed to be working well, so I left positive feed back. However, when I inserted an 8GB SDHC card into it, it shut down and I have not been able to start it up since (it is suppose to support cards up to 32GB). I have since contacted the seller who has emailed me a RMA form and asked me to return the item.
I need advice on how to handle this:
(a) Who is responsible for the return postage?
(b) What proof of posting do I need to get?
(c) Can I ask for my money back?
(d) Could I open a dispute instead as I am worried that I might send the item back but not get a replacement or a refund?
(e) What if the replacement is faulty as well?
Your contributions are most welcomed.
Thanks

Unfortunately this is the downside of buying from overseas. You need to send it back fully tracked with a signature on receipt (and I don't think that is possible to Taiwan).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
