I'm furious with Halifax!
I bought something online a couple of weeks ago that couldn't be processed as the billing address that I had given wasn't coming up as the correct one on their system. It turns out that they had my old address as my billing address, which is wrong.
I went to Halifax to ask why this was and it turns out that when I went in to change my address when I moved house, they changed my billing address, but not my correspondence address. Whilst this only goes someway to explaining the issue with the company I dealt with, my main frustration is that all of my bank correspondence has been going to my previous address.
Obviously, I was unaware that I had to specify that my new home would also be my correspondence address- I didn't know the Halifax had this system and would assume that they would ask me anyway!
If anyone has a Halifax account and is moving house, please make sure that you get all of your addresses changed with them!
Also, if anyone has a good complaint letter template, I would very much appreciate it!
