I buy nice 'n' lean beef skirts from a local butcher for approx £3 a lb and they cut it up into smallish pieces for me. It's very tender when cooked and there's also some lovely meaty stock for the gravy. The cooked meat is very versatile. If you use it to make meat & potato pie then it goes a long way!

I have researched the Casserole brand of stewed steak. This is an irish company who have emailed me to say that they have sold the canned meat section (including Casserole) to Princes. Therefore Casserole Stewed Steak is no more. What a pity !!!
