Can Google searches be blocked by others?

This thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1801867#post1801867

no longer shows in Google under a search for Amway and IBS. Does anyone know if they can block certain searches or responses as it is strange how most anti Amway items seem to vanish quite quickly.

(If I have entered link the wrong way could a moderator please tell me how to sort it - thanks)

If I understand you right you are saying that the thread you mention just doesn't appear as one of the search listing results to this forum?

That's probably because Google have re-ranked since then and given your thread a different, lower ranking which has moved it down the search results. I'm sure its there somewhere because searches can't be "blocked" as such.

The link given above links to a post in the thread rather than to the thread itself. The actual threads url is:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=135071

and here it is in Google cache. so it is in there system

Whilst it is possible to prevent all or part of a web site from being indexed by a web robot in the first place, once something has been indexed there is very little that can be done to prevent someone from finding it.

What I was meaning was if I did a search it didn't show up in the 10 or so pages of items listed meaning anyone typing these items in would not see the original thread. I was looking on google.co.uk

Please excuse my ignorance - what is the Google cache and is this something that anyone would find when carrying out a search?

    Thanks.

When you do a Google search most search items have a small Cached link next to them which stays on Google's website, and shows you a copy of the page that google saved when it crawled the web. It is available on most but not all searches.
