I have recently purchased the Inspiron 1300 from Dell with no graphics card upgrade. Once the laptop has arrived will it be easy to upgrade or are these units sealed once built by Dell?.
If this machine is upgradeable could someone please recommend a decent graphics card around the £40 mark.
Big thanks in advance for any response!

Will the Inspiron have slots available for me to put my own graphics card in?...A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

The graphics card is usually on the motherboard on laptops, and is therefore not upgradeable. It will have slots (PCMCIA, USB, and probably a mini-pci), but these aren't designed for graphics cards.. Cancel your order, and buy a desktop if you want to upgrade it..Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
