Moneysaving mini break 2.

Options
Last year, I started a thread about a trip away, where I'd bought a concert ticket, and tried to see if I could manage the rest of the trip for free in effect. I am doing it again. Twice in fact.

The first one is a Neil Young concert I'm going to in Nottingham next month. My aim is to spend as little as I can as my initial outlay, and find ways to make some money back to cushion the cost, and/or get some freebies.

Here are the costs so far:

Ticket plus booking fee: £62.50 (I think). Roughly that.
Return train journey: £19.00 (cheaper than coach, I checked!)
Hostel bed: £14ish (depends on exchange rate cos it's a foreign booking)

I am registered as a mystery shopper with a few companies. Last time I was in London, I had 3 posh sandwich shop meals, a big sushi meal and a hearty pub meal, all paid for by MS'ing, and on top of that, I earnt fees. I am going to try and get as many meals paid for as I can.

I've only been to Nottingham twice, to work at the cricket ground. So I am going to explore and find free things to see and do to make the most of it and to eat up extra time as my fare is cheap but I have to hang around all day the following day after the show.

If anyone knows anything good to see/do for free in Nottingham, please do let me know. I'm open to pretty much anything.

One naughtiness is I am very likely to buy a beer and a T shirt at the concert, another reason I need to lessen the dent!!

Thanks but as the original post states, I've already booked and paid for my travel and accommodation.
