Help with adobe flash player

Hiya

I downloaded the latest windows updates last night and have been having problems this morning. Internet explorer 8 wont allow me to download the latest adobe flash player. well i can download it on the adobe website but when i go to a site that needs it it says i need to download the latest version. ive tried viewing sites using both internet explorer 8 and firefox but neither of them have accepted the update.

any suggestions please as i need adobe to work

    Try downloading it from here.

    Uninstall the current instance of flash and try to install it from the .exe above.

    i managed to fix it. i just unistalled old programmes one by one and it was my printer software that was somehow causing the problem.
