ppi reclaim

Hi All
Anyone out there who have had the same experiance? What do you think we should do next? We took out a loan with Tesco in March 04 with the PPI paid upfront £1,897 we then added another £10,000 to the loan in Feb 05 again with the PPI paid upfront £3,433.
After reading the info on this web site we began looking into our policies and can not recall being told that the PPI was an option so we wrote to Tesco with the standard response that after they could not find our details! we now have received a letter offering as a goodwill gesture of £750 per policy £1500 in total without any admission of liability and in full and final settlement of our complaint.
Should we accept or take it to the Financial Ombudsman?
Cheers
Paul & Lorraine

Many of the companies are beginning to do the same. With over £5000 in premiums you would realistically be looking for at least that plus interest if you were to run a successful claim. I would therefore say NO, do not accept it. Look to get what you are due, not what they want to palm you off with.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.
