DooYoo or other survey sites? Any old mobile phones to trade in? You can do 2 or 3 insurance quotes on quidco for about £1.75 a go. Can't think of any more :o

Meal planning will save you a fortune, I'm on a £25 a week budget at the moment and literally bought bare minimum today and walked out having spent £15. Freezer and cupboards are full of meals/potential meals so I have no excuse not to stick to the budget this month. Good luck :)
  • The MS fairies have been sprinkling their dust in my direction today. I did one this evening and I've got 4 more lined up between now and Sunday - I'll be exhausted but the extra money is welcome.

Also, we're nearing the end of a fixed rate gas and electricity deal - from the news on MSE I think we might not get as good a rate again but should get some cashback for switching.

After these two bits of money news, Ammonite's suggestions to online-survey-like-mad and meal plan... things are looking up.

Also I have a birthday spa voucher I'm going to use as a treat this month... that'll cheer me up in a free way!

Oooh, enjoy! Once I'm mortgage free I think I'd like to go for a nice massage at least once a month. Love being papered but it's soooo expensive.

Enjoy your spa day MRN it sounds wonderful :) My friend does massage and charges £8 for a 30 minute back and neck massage. At that price it is practically rude NOT to have a treat :D

Good luck with the meal planning :)
  • At that price I'd have one every week - she must be really busy, if not I'll have a couple of hours worth!!
  • I'm really struggling to get on top of anything - including booking something to use my £25 spa voucher I mentioned earlier. I'm so drained, tears have been prickling my eyes with even the slightest thing but I know it's just tiredness. I can't sleep properly though, too much to do. I know I'll relax enough to get a good night's sleep once I'm back on top of things at work and at home... you can see the vicious circle though.

I completed three mystery shops today but spreadsheet tells me I'll only make £13.75 before tax profit for my efforts. Oh well, better than not making anything I guess.

I best get my glad rags on and put some make-up on my eye bags - OH's colleague is having a dinner party this evening (another late night I think).

  • Hi MRN, hopefully you can relax tomorrow, have a walk in the fresh air, look at the glorious colours and be at peace

    Best wishes Tilly x x x

Not much relaxing at home time... but it was good to catch up with friends and meet some new people at the dinner party (since we were out both evenings I didn't have to cook!).

After the Remembrance service yesterday I went for lunch with a friend - she's had a hard year and I've been making a conscious effort to make time for her.

I convinced OH that roast dinner was too much hassle so we had lasagne instead - allowing me to freeze a few portions for busy evenings. I'm also trying to run the freezer down for a defrost so this helped with the mince section.

Back to the grindstone today and I've made mini lists for each evening this week to see if I can get more on top of things at home. And I've promised myself not to book any mystery shops until next Sunday onwards to allow me a week's breather.

I'm entering the 10th week of packed lunches today and I've scribbled down a few dates (to put on the calendar at home ) that I can get a free lunch at work! I've missed a few of these free lunches due to my packed lunch challenge determination but actually they could also save me money!
