    Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't had time to read back so I don't know what's going on in everybody's lives. Hope you're all ok.

I was sent home at lunchtime yesterday and went to the docs. I have grumbling appendix, but have turned up for work today as I am flying up to Prestwick tonight for my study leave. I hope the pain has gone by the time the exam comes round on Tuesday

Sammy, how's your studying coming along? Good I hope. It's gotta be a darn sight better than mine.

Was it today that Snaggs has the meeting with the school? If so, hope it went ok.

The meeting was really grim - horrible horrible horrible.

I did say everything I wanted to say though, and I do think that perhaps the head realises mistakes have been made (he didn't admit it of course, but I could tell from his body language and expression).

He tried to make some pretty horrific accusations about Ryan's home life, but was stopped by the Parent Partnership lady (who was lovely) who told him he had no basis for those accusations.

I asked him why, if Ryan is hearing the swearing and aggression from me, why he only talks like that whilst in meltdown, and not in everyday speech. He couldn't answer. I also invited him to contact social services if he felt Ryan's home life was in any way damaging. He backtracked immediately.

I think I backed him into a corner about how the exclusion was handled, both by the teacher (who I feel inflamed the situation further, and led to Ryan's outburst becoming more severe) and by himself. I asked him to acknowledge that mistakes were made, and of course he didn't actually say so, but he squirmed noticeably in his seat and looked very uncomfortable.

They have committed to trying to get Ryan more support, ideally on a full time basis, and have promised more communication, which I will believe when I see, but will give them the benefit of the doubt for now and try to remain positive.

So relations are still very strained, but for now, Ryan is back at school and seems happy.

I feel like I've done 5 rounds with (insert boxers name as I don't know any), and am a tearful wreck, but I think that's because I had to work so hard to hold it together all morning, and you always fall apart a bit afterwards I think, but it will pass. Although I now have to make a start on making a formal complaint to the governers to see if I can get the exclusion overturned. That will be done by letter though, so a bit less fraught I hope.

Thanks everyone for the support and good wishes, it helped so much knowing I had you behind me. xxx

You must keep up the momentum Snags and insist on the communication and I would email them every week for a progress report.

How dare they infer that his home life is damaging him in some way, obviously there has been upset in that department lately but from what I can see you and Stu have handled that quite well.....I am glad you had the lady with you I may well have decked the !!!!!!!!.

Anyway I have to go and have hair done...am I the only one who feels that its a chore....

Scorgeous hope you are okay for next Tuesday. Fingers crossed....
