    Oh my goodness!! I came across a huge queue snaking its way to the doors of M & S this morning and I just had to join (didn't quite know what it was for right then!).

    I went to both shops in town and got;

    - 3x 330ml Ginger Beer
    - 3x Bag of Rosy Apples sweets
    - 2x Pair of black pants (neither in my size- one two sizes too big and one six sizes too big :eek:!)
    - 1x Silver bracelet (yay- Xmas present for some lucky lady)
    - 1x Pair of black socks

    ...Not bad for 10p and about 25mins of queuing (15mins at one store and 10mins at the other).

    I'm (and my partner) going back tomorrow, altough slightly earlier this time. I want;

    - 2x Beach Ball
    - 3x Commemorative mugs
    - 3x Jewellery (Moneysaving Xmas presents)
    - 1x Rosy Apples sweets (I love Rosy Apples)
    - 1x Pair of black socks

    YAY :rotfl::T:rotfl::T:rotfl::T:rotfl::T:rotfl::T

    You did well because it states on the website that people will only be allowed 5 items at 1p

    Thanks again OP! I went down this morning and queued behind all the pensioners and got a brooch, two different necklaces, a tea towel and mug - yay!

    went to mine but they would only allow you ONE jewellery item per person so had to abandon my list of getting 3 and get some knickers and a tea towel instead . also they didnt have the necklace and jewellery set shown in ads/press releases.(the kinda diamond shape one with a black inset ) :(

    so ended up with brooch. mug, tea towel, pants and scarf

    Ha ha! I went to both M and S stores in town!

    So the people at the second store didn't know that I had already been and raided the first!

    I am going into town earlier tomorrow as there was already quite a big queue at 9.30 and the purses, cufflinks and ties had gone by the time I got in at about 9.45.

    Does anyone know if there is a way to check online if your local store is participating?

    I can't find it on the M and S website and I would love to tell my mum to get down to her local store, but I don't want to send her on a wild goose chase!

    Metro Center was out of everything bar sweets, pop and frisbies by 9:20 total waste of time. Plus the staff were awful, if you tried to get stuff for the penny they screamed in your face about the charity. What is it with M&S at the moment.:eek:
