Courgette Plant Wilting

About a week and a half ago I planted out 3 courgette plants in my veggie plot. One looks healthy, one is touch and go and the other is limp and dying. They were all fine when I planted them. What have I done wrong?
Can you overwater them? There was plenty of compost in the bed so can only assume it was watering or something else. I had hardened them off before I planted them.
Should I put a fleece over them now they are planted out? No frosts here but could it be just a teensy bit too cool at night for them?
Sorry for the 20 questions. This is my first attempt at growing anything.

I'd say it is too cold......or too windy. I'd fleece them or pop a cloche over them - cloche can be anything from a bought cloche, an upside down squash bottle [large] or a clear plastic container upside down [pop a brick on top to hold it down].0 -
I think it's a tad early depending on what your garden is like, mine still aren't out yet. Although we have had a good May for weather so far, the last few days have been dodgy.

Thanks both. I didn't consider how windy it had been.
Will pop out and put my cheap Poundland poly tunnels on.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Mine did the same, popped a half pop bottle on each and they came back a treat.
My pumpkins don't seem to mind the cold tho, they are huge already lol.
