Hiya, me again
has anyone been to Granada? With kids? We want a holiday near all the amenities, Villa with a private pool. Don't know where to start or look, never been on a plane with kids and going to a foreign country! :-s
All i've heard about is the Alhambra place, so possibly stay near there? We have a disabled person in our group so walking too much is an issue.
Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help

Alhambra is the main attraction in Granada and very much worth seeing, Granada is not a huge city so the hotel does not need to be near Alhambra as such, lots of shopping, lots of historic buildings and sights.0

Hello,
I tend to use Holiday Lettings when booking my holidays if I want self catering. Rather than going through an agent, you go direct to the owner, which often works out saving you money.
Have a look at these places in Granada - http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/granada/pool_yn.1/
Other sites that work on the same basis are Holiday Lets, Owners Direct and Holiday Rentals. I haven't actually used any of these, but some friends of the family advertise on HL - they recommended it to me!0 -
i havent got any constructive advice to give except to say that i would LOVE to go to the alhambra, its on my list of places to visit!0

Hi - I am staying in Spain in a family member's villa this summer and we are visiting Granada to see the Alhambra Palace. We will probably do the trip in a day or stay one night, as it's only about 1 hours and 30 minutes drive.
The area we are staying in is San Juan de Los Torreros but there's many other nice areas to stay in if you want to be close to a beach and also near to the city. If you Google Viva Almeria, there's a useful guide to help you plan to visit the area. Rick Steves also has great info for visiting Europe.
I don't know if you want to stay as far away from Granada as I am and the villa I'm staying in isn't for rent but the people who own it know others who rent out their villas, so you're welcome to pm me if you're stuck.
By the way, I don't know if you checked out the Alhambra Palace website yet. It is very popular and apparently you need to book tickets on the Internet in advance.0
