Best Mastercard/Visa rewards with good customer service?

Options
Hi All,

I've just started a little moneysaving such as budgeting and getting the right bank accounts/plastic.

I spend quite a lot of money each month and am looking for the best way to recover some of the spend. Most of it can be done with my lurverly new Amex but what's the next best thing for those murchants who choose not to accept Amex (given I've tried the shell mastercard and decided I can't cope with poor customer service or off-shore callcentres)?

Sorry to ask for advice on one of my first posts without really contributing to the community. I feel embarresed :embarasse

Thanks,
Satnav

I have a John Lewis partnership card and they have been fab with any queries. You can get straight though, query answered by the first person I speak to, quick response. But you only earn John Lewis/Waitrose vouchers on it, not cashback.

    And welcome :)

Thanks, looks really good. Works out at about 1% for waitroes and john lewis spend and 0.5% for other spend. Great to hear about the customer service.

I believe the card may be provided by HSBC however I've never spoken to a foreign call centre when dealing with my partnership card.

M&S card is also HSBC, and they've also been good when I've spoken to them.

We rocked the WoW gold market by keep lowering the gold price.

Good on ya, Kathleen. And I rocked the MSE forums by reporting you as :spam: :D

I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

Thanks. I had an M&S card for a little while but cancelled it recently because I didn't think I would use it (at the time I was happy with citi customer service).

Does anyone know if this would this effect a new application?

Thank you for the replies so far. Anyone know of another good card? Would be nice to have 3 to choose from.
