Can you suggest a supplier

Hi

I am in need of a battery for a Dell Inspiron 1300
I want to buy a new one
I have found that most of the ebay ones whilst cheap are from abroad and many have hit & miss feedback
I can't afford Dell prices of £109

I am wary of buying online as you hear horror stories about companies taking your money and going pop

Can anyone recommend a decent, reliable online retailer that I could buy from ?

Thank you

The batterys on eBay are not that bad to be honest, and some are in the UK like this one. It claims to have a better life and as its from the UK, you will get it quickly. As you pay with PayPal you are protected anyway so if anything goes wrong, which most likely won't, you can rest assured you won't lose out.

They are the same ratings but the one you linked to is an official DELL one, whereas the one I found is not. They both do the same job, it just depends if you want an official DELL one, or if you don't mind using a non-OEM one. They do exactly the same thing.

It's up to you really. Most of the negatives he has got are for 'lost in the post' and the buyer has not bothered to contact him, just left a neg instead. He has though got 1581 positives in the last month, but as said before its up to you. The other one is good because it comes with a years warranty but is a bit more pricey. You could even try this one which is the same again, but is an official DELL one, but slightly cheaper than the one you found. Up to you...
