Reiss Jacket Fault

Who and where do I go for the private inspection?
And if Reiss say they will not send the coat for inspection to the manufacturer what do I do?
You may wish to put your complaint in writing to the store Head Office, asking for their evidence that there is no fault.
It is unlikely that just over 6 months is a reasonable time for such a garment to last, so you should have good grounds for a claim.
State that if they refuse to consider a replacement you will be forced to pay for an independant inspection, the costs of which you will be reclaiming.
Contact the manafacturer, explain the problem and ask for them to inspect the article.
They may do an inspection free gratis, as they have an interest of maintaining their reputation and quality control standards.0 -
thank you for this....lets see what they come back with as I have asked to speak to the manager who made the decision.
How do I find out the manufacturer?0 -
Ok UPDATE
The manager has just called me, she thinks that it is a burn, which is rubbish as two further holes have appreared since then so it couldnt be that. She said that they are not prepared to send it to the manufacturers and basically said they are prepared to do nothing.0 -
moreno5uk have you considered contacting BBC Watchdog as I'm pretty sure they did a feature only about 6 weeks ago about faulty clothing. It might be worth a try?0

worth a try if all else fails.....
I am going to try the store i bought it from, if that fails it is a letter to the head office....and then if all that fails....its watchdog!0 -
Jacket has arrived at home today....
my next step is going to the store.....0 -
Make a claim on your credit card - I'm sure they will pay out (assuming that you are not a serial claimant!) without further hassle.0

unfortunatly I have closed that credit card and it is beyond 6 months....so no go there!0

I'm interested to know if you got any further with Reiss.
I too am having trouble with Reiss a jacket that I bought 6 weeks ago. I spotted flaws in the finish of the leather after it got wet so sent it straight to customer services dept who said it wasn't a manufacturing fault and I am being stone walled.
Did you get an independent inspection?0
