Best place to buy a replacement Sky+ box?

Son's Sky+ box has died and wont switch on, suspect it's the hard drive that's gone on it. There is power but it wont come out of standby. Same thing happened with mine and I put a new drive and a fan controller into it but by the time I'd bought the drive and controller, I think I'd have been as well just buying a new box tbh.
It's outwith warranty period so I think he's just going to buy a new one. Any suggestions where? After being recently stung by a dodgy eBay seller I'm not keen to look there.
Also is there a front runner these days or are the boxes much and such?
