How do I listen to a bit of music.

Only when I sit at my PC do I, now and again, feel the need for a bit of music but in between happy with silence. So do I buy earphones that plug in the back of tower, or that plug in my speakers that have a 'phone' socket.

Or do I buy an MP3 player which I have heard of but really don't understand - help.

Or even buy a bigger memory card for my mobile but I would need to get earphones as I gave the set away that came with the phone thinking I would never need them?

If you only need music when sitting at PC, then speakers are the best option. You can have all sorts of music player (free) to do so.

If you think you might want to listen to music on the move, then consider headphones. You can use them on the PC, and hopefully on the phone (dependant on model though).

Download Spotify and listen to any music you wish for free, its legal as every so often you get an advert.

Don't like earphones myself just use your existing speakers. The connection they use is usually a mini jack plug, which is the same as headphones use.

Even better treat yourself to a nice little radio.

Last.fm is another legal free site. Plays music directly in your web browser.

Is that legal? it looks too good to be true :p

But yes, speakers are all you need, like them ones, they need a 1/8 jack which goes into the green 1/8 socket in the back of pc :) there standard connection.
