Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage?

Earlier my updates including going from IE7 to IE8 but after which I found problems getting on sites and with the above message being shown. So, being impatient, I removed the update for IE8 but I am still getting this message.

One of the sites affected is MSE.

Any thoughts on this?
A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.

    It might be a coincidence, MSE has been timing out on me today, you could always do a system restore to before you installed IE8

    I have been getting time outs with MSE today and I am using Firefox. It might be the site is getting overloaded.

    Just done a system restore for the first time ever!

    Used to use an application called Norton Goback which saved my bacon, many times, in my business.
