I wonder if anyone can help please?
Myself and my daughter (who is 26) will be going to Cornwall in September. I was horrified to find that return train tickets will cost around £90 !!
Is there anything anyone can recommend we do to try and get a better deal? Neither of us have railcards by the way.
Any help much appreciated.

Go to this site below and you can get £5 off tickets if you book before 30th June.

Also tickets for sept wont be open to book as of yet till about 12 weeks before so they wont go on sale till sometime in late June i would say.0 -
Just had a play on megabus.com & it looks like you can get the train to Exeter, at least, from £6 each way.
Don't know how feasible it is to travel on from there - or maybe try it to Bristol (same cost) & see what onward travel's like? Taunton's not listed I'm afraid - & although Penzance is it looks like it's bus only that far!
edit - for some reason I'd've sworn you said you were in London - but you didn't! That's where I costed it from anyway! :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -

I've just been to the site and noticed that I already applied for that £5 discount to go to the Ideal Home Show. Can it be used more than once?
Oh I've just noticed, I made a typo, it should have said October, not September so I won't be able to use that code anyway because it will be more than 3 months.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -

Hi, I just tried entering from London to Exeter at the end of September (which is the latest you can do) and nothig showed. And the trouble with going this way would mean too many changes with heavy suitcases (and I have M.E.) so I am really looking for a discount on train journeys that can get us to Falmouth in Cornwall the cheapest but most direct route, but thankyou anyway.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -

I always use www.raileasy.co.uk. Booked at weekend and tickets arrived 1st class yesterday. Have always been very happy with their prices and service.0 -
