Best Place for Tyres

First and foremost, a hello from me as this is my first post. (Have only just discovered this forum)

I am in need of a set of (pretty big, and thus expensive) tyres. 19" wheels to be precise.

As a car enthusiast I know a few sites like Camskills or Blackcircles.

But would like to see if I can get them any cheaper anywhere else?

(Sizes; 235/35/19 and 265/30/19's)

Local tyre place (not kwick fit / national tyres) look on the sites above choose the exact tyre you want them phone up your local tyre place and most of the time they can do them cheaper.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

Everytime I use my local tyre place to fit tyres I've bought from Blackcircles (he is a Blackcircles "partner" so I get them delivered direct to him and then go and have them fitted) he reminds me that he "could definitely do them cheaper", and then proceeds to quote me an "unbeatable" price - less than £1 per tyre off!!

I like Blackcircles as you can earn tyre bank "points" to redeem for money off, this usually means that I can still beat my local tyre place's "massive discount".

I'm also a Costco member and people rave about their tyre prices - I disagree, they were over £10 more (+fitting) than the same tyre from Blackcircles (fitted), and the choice is poor - Michelin or Michelin or Michelin!

because every 4th tyre pays for itself if you buy Michelin Energysavers. :p:money: it's a moneysaving choice.

(I'm on my buy British high horse again, I do apologise - there's a Michelin factory in my home town and I think more than ever in this recession every product should have a 'made in' label so we know when we're buying from UK producers and supporting British workers..)

DIfferent experiances then, my local not so pretty back alley tyre place is around £4 cheaper per a tyre to mytires.com and fitting and balancing free if i buy them through the tyre place, buy them from mytyres and its the extra £4 + fittign and balancing making mytyres about £10 more per a tyre.

^^^^^^^^^^ In what respect? 'Coz it isn't the price or choice of brands!
