Hello!

Does anyone know if there is a cheaper alternative to BT International Directory Enquiries. (Just got hammered on the latest bill for one or two phone calls).

Obviously, I always check the internet first through genera l searchs, but if anyone knows of any countries that have FREE online Directory Enquiries that would be very much appreciated. Or perhaps there is even anothr solution I have missed...

depends on the country, there is for the us such sites as whitepages etc. some countries if u cant find it via google then bt intl may be the only way as they have the countries actual directories and when you call the op geos and looks it up manually

Free International DQ is a cinch over the web...just do a google search for "world phonebook"; my two favorites are Phonebook of the World and Infobel. The latter even gives you reverse number lookup for many European and North America destinations.
