Any ideas to why this keeps not working? I pressed find updates and it updates, then after a restart it says not compatible again

Please help, it's driving me madd!

It makes no sense to me as I have exactly the same versions of both and get no error

All I can suggest is to uninstall the dictionary and try re-adding it.

FWIW this computer is running XP but I also have these two on a Vista machine at home.

no idea, same version of firefox here working fine...but I'm sure I've read other people have the same issue.

...and it's MAD not MADD (very slow dictionary)

Could try uninstalling it completely first, and install a new copy from the web.

I've tried removing it and Firefox before with no luck, it's been doing this for ages now, I think it was Firefox 3.0.8 it last worked with, well 2 updates ago it was working fine...

I thought it was a bug but if everyone else's is working then why isn't mine :(

Well my final thought would be do the uninstall again.

    Shut down FF

On XP you need to find the equivalent folder to this

    C:\Users Document settings\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*.default\extensions

In that folder you should see a dictionary folder, delete it

    Restart FF
reinstall the addon and see if it worketh.

If all fails, uninstall FF and re-install

Strange, because the Mozilla add-on page clearly states it's compatible.

I'm on XP sp3 by the way.
