Hold on Sky account due to BR!

Nearing the end of my Br so phoned sky to see what deals they have for reconnecting customers. I disconnected voluntarily before my BR and paid all up to date.

To my surprise I was told by the rep that there were notes all over my account telling them not to reinstate. I was then informed that this was due to the insolvency service informing them that I was BR!

They must have got the details form my bank sstatement, but what difference does it make to them anyway as Im not even on an IPA:confused:

Guess I'll just wait 2 more weeks til I'm discharged then show them proof of my discharge to get reinstated.

Anyone else heard of this or is it just my OR being a b1tch:cool:

Thats the thing, had I have kept the dd going and not cancelled then I am sure that Sky wouldnt have bpthered about the Insolvency letter, just a pain as I only cancelled to watch the pennies:rolleyes:

it is indeed bizarre, as at the begining of my BR i didnt have sky for the same reasons watching the pennies . but after few month and realise that we have a little surplus we decided to go for sky and they didnt turn us down

I am already getting freeview from the old boxes, I jusst wanted to get my landline, broadband and a basic package off them as im coming out of contract with BT and the broadband speed is pooh so i might as well pay less money and get more products.

Mrs can apply anyway or I will re aplly in a fortnight when Im discharged, they did ssay If i gave them proof the block would be lifted

I qualified for BT viion free but the line needs to run at 2 meg minimum. Mine is at roughly0.75 due to distance from exchange.

I am on a new estate so cable isnt an option either unless I want their through the phone line service which is carp

That does seem rather odd! My OR didn't contact Sky (or at least I don't think they did)
