Catania Sicilly. Visiting A War Grave.

Am taking a 92year old to visit her brothers grave in Sicilly, we are flying into catania, is there a bus service to catania? are Taxis fair? is there a bus service to the cemetery? how bad is it to hire a car there? in other words any help with any of those questions and any other advise, thanks. We do have the hotel and the lady is not infirmed and our stay is four days.

I don't know anything specific about Scilly, but as always be alert - Stick to official taxis - the hotel should be able to help. for car hire try holiday autos or auto europe - both use the major companies and are very competitive.

I went to Catania June 2005. The rental car depots are located at the airport and are easy to walk to. Car booked using the Avis code D 086533. No problems at the Avis desk. We were given clear instructions to get onto the road we needed at Catania as there is a Ring Road system.
Driving is fine but you need to keep your wits about you. Sicilian drivers are unique!
