In car accident - Who can i claim from?

Options
I was in a car accident on the 3rd of March where a woman ran out straight in front of my car near a mini roundabout.

As soon as i got out of my car to see to the woman, she told me not to 'worry' as it was her 'fault'. When the police turned up she again admitted to the police officer TWICE that it was her fault and that she did just run out staight in front of my car.

About 3 weeks after the accident happened, i received a letter from her solicitors. The letter explained that the woman that i knocked over wanted to make a claim againist me as i ran her over when 'she was walking in the road' which is obviously a lie.

I went to a solicitors myself and they sent a letter to her solicitors and i havn't heard anything back since that, so i presume she has left it there which my solicitor advised me would probably happen.

I am now wanting to make claim againist her for the damamge she caused to my car and for the stress and wiplash caused to me.

I dont know where i would be able to make this claim and even if i would be able to.

Has anyone got any advice on this matter?

Stick with your solicitor, this could get very nasty and complicated (have a chat with him/her as to costs etc so you know exactly where you stand) . What you need is the report from the police who attended the scene. Without that it might get very costly and uncertain.

Why have you waited 3 weeks to do anything about this?

    Good luck.

Did you report it to your insurers at the time? Are your insurers involved now?

You must inform your insurers of any accident you are involved in whether you wish to make a claim or not.

I strongly advise you to tell them as soon as possible.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
