Anyone heard of bookoo?

Ive had an email this morning inviting me to join one in my area, I googled bookoo and only came up with US groups.
It looks like a local 'classified' site where you can sell your unwanted stuff locally like gumtree (a little like freecycle without the 'free'!?)
Looks interesting, but im sure ive seen similar sites, and they just dont take off.
Any views?

If you have never heard of it I doubt the buyers have either.

Only a matter of time though before one of these other sites takes off. To be honest it competes mainly with Trade It (Friday Ads).
I've had an email today about Bristol Bookoo, will take a look later. I only have a guitar to sell which has been on Trade It for 2 days and Gumtree for a month so might as well add it to this site and see how it goes.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
I had this email this morning too.
According to the email, there's a Cheltenham group, but haven't investigated any further / clicked on linksWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

Thats interesting grannybiker, the email I got was for 'Chesterfield' but was mixed up with a 'Chelmsford' based group (which is MILES away!), perhaps they are going through the alphabet, and getting mixed up!0 -
I think a basic package is free, a premier package you have to pay for £5 for one month, £12 for 3 months etc. Basic package is limited to 10 items with 1 picture each, premiere is unlimited items with 4 pics each item. If you invite 5 people to visit the site, by email, you earn 1 weeks free premiere, for each person you invite that signs up to the site you earn another week etc.
They seem to be promoting the site quite a bit so I gave people something to look at by listing some items. Will add more tomorrow.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
I got one as well, just interesting to find out where they got the email address from.0

I have a feeling emails were taken from Freecycle groups on yahoo.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

I'm a freecycle Bristol user and received an invite to join bookoo bristol from a "friend" called "Susan" that I do not have; they definitely seem to have scraped our addresses from freecycle. I will now treat anything from bookoo as spam as it was certainly not requested. It also seems to be completely against the ethos of freecycle. TDyl0
