Try some free software first, i use "AceMoney Lite" it's free from download.com, maybe doesn't have as many bells or whistles as MS Money but it works for me. Only problem is it only does one account unless you buy "Ace Money" not sure how much this is though. Alternatively you could make a relatively simple spreadsheet to do the similar.0

I have used it for about 15 years now. It should be quite cheap to pick up as it hasnt been made for about 3 years now (UK version anyway).
Its does exactly what it says and does it well.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Try Amazon for a second hand version, mine cost £4 a couple of years ago. 2004 is compatible with VISTA.0

I use MoneyDance and find it does everything I need, and does it well.0

I second that, Moneydance is excellent and comes with free updates. I'm a very happy user.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
If you want to record investments, then I'm afraid it can only be Money or Quicken. All these others are very unsophisticated - really not much more than you can get with a good spreadsheet.0

Moneydance is fine with investments of all sorts - it handles my unit trusts perfectly.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

I've been using it since 1995. It is excellent at tracking bank accounts, credit cards and monitoring shares and unit trust performance which get updated automatically.
You can download a trial USA version at www.microsoft.com/products/info/default.aspx?view=22&pcid=9d273393-92c9-4807-be9c-515a0d152415 - I think Money Plus Deluxe is the nearest to the UK version.
Be warned you will not be able to open the data file in the UK version of Money but it will give you an idea of how it works.
Microsoft Works Suite contains Money and is sold cheaply on eBay and online stores but make sure you get the UK version, it's amazing how many UK online shops sell the USA version.0 -
Thanks for responses folks. So am I right in thinking that the latest version won't work for my UK bank accounts etc?0
