we have sky + in our living room, through the aerial what ever is on sky can be viewed in every room in our home on channel 6, in the past if the kids wanted to keep something that we had recorded on sky + we would watch it on the portable tv/video combi in the playroom and record it, then delete it off sky + (no video in living room just dvd home cinema) (are you following ? ? ?)
we have just put a freeview box in the playroom, so now the aerial goes into the freeview box rather than the combi unit, so we now cant view sky. is there a way i can view sky in the playroom, other than unplugging the aerial from the freeview box and putting it into the back of the tv ? ? ?
i ask this as the kids dvd player has packed in and we had thought of getting them a dvd recorder.
thanks for reading.

I have sky set up as you described, and a freeview box in the kitchen. the freeview channels are on the av channel and you can either switch off the freeview box and watch the terestrial tv on the ordinary 1to 6 channels or (as on my box)press the tv/dig button on the remote to toggle between the two. hope this makes sense.0

Most freeview boxes have a loop through for the aerial. If yours hasn't get one that does. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
