Credit card questions

Hi guys, any helpers available here,

Ive got 5 credit cards, i know far too many and im paying them down.

the thing is im thinking about paying 1 off in full and then trying to balance transfer onto it from 1 of the other cards to help keep interest down.

My only concern is that ive been late paying a few of them about 6 months ago and wondered if i pay it off in full will they reduce the credit limit before i have chance to balance transfer?

the cards are

egg
mbna
virgin
citi
halifax

thanks guys, any similar experience in this and advice would be great

There is no firm answer. You'd need to provide us with more information on the balances, length of time account held in order for us to give more advice.

It goes without saying you should be paying off the high rate interest ones first, transferring as much as possible over to the lower rate cards. You own two MBNA issued cards who are nutorious for pumping interest rates up after 'good' promotional periods, has this happened to you?
