Anyone know web links with UK towns populations?

I have Googled but no joy. I need to compile a speadsheet and find an easy way of getting the population figures without googling for each one by one?

Did you find the Office for National Statistics? Did they not have what you wanted?
If not, IIRC the local tourist office website had the size of our city when we looked for information before moving here.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Try http://www.lovemytown.co.uk/Populations/index.htm which has loads of links including spreadsheets of populations.
Make sure you know how you want to define the population first. By that I mean a town or city may have 2 or 3 different population figures that vary by a huge amount, depending on whether you mean the town centre, borough, municipal area etc. Population figures are meaningless unless you include how you define them.0 -
Found out my village & surrounding areas has a pop of 4,301.
Is that average for a village or big or small?0 -
