Hi, I have one of these for my puggy dog. I would say the material is quite tight fitting, so if you do wash it keep it cool. It was easy to put together, is very solidly built (i use it as a stool to get into my top kitchen cupboards!). Overall I cant say its worth the money to be honest as all it is is cheap wood with a bit of material velcroed around the edges. Crystal has chewed 2 of the 3 black posts and the material underneath the 'armrest' and she's pretty much ruined it now

I haven't got one, but I am never sure how comfy these sort of beds are for dogs - it looks posh, but I do think most animals like something nest-like to snuggle up in, it looks a little exposed and perhaps draughty to me!
My dog has a basic cheapo plastic bed lined with wool carpet, and with a dog duvet in it - it is not a fashion statement, but she does look very comfy snuggled up in it!
She also enjoys arranging it all when she gets in to make it really snug, I think she would try and pull the cushons up on this to make her bed in!0 -
I want one for the cat that thinks she's the queen - but oh is right, she'd never use it when there's a double bed she can make a nest out of the duvet in (and tap humans on the nose for a cuddle - WHY DID OH TEACH HER THAT TRICK?!).Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

I might also add that Crystal doesn't use it all the time as a bed, she still prefers her plastic blanket lined one and uses the ikea for an occasional change. We keep both beds in the kitchen for her to choose

If I am right in thinking you have a terrier pup, I wouldnt bother - he will have that thing dismantled and shredded in no time for you!!!
Personally, I would probably start off with a cardboard box, made snug with comfy bedding, then when it gets all chewed you can just replace it instead of panicking about it!!0 -

You are all right. I think I just needed a bit of sense talked into me. LOL
He has got a dog pillow at the moment which he really likes. Theres a fuffy banket that I will make into a removable cover for it and will have a bit left over for snuggling. I will use velcro tabs underneath to close it though, as I have heard that dogs can be ill if they chew zips.
Thanks

Mybe get a posh bed whe he is older, but for now all he needs is somewhere comfy! Wilko's do the plastic type of dog beds cheaply, as do many pet shops - they are practical, not too easy to chew (though they may still get nibbled!) easy to clean and dont collect doggy smells! Chuck a cushion or rug in to make it snug and comfy!0
