Easter Sun Holiday

Hi,

I have been looking for a holiday for 2 around 13th April for a week in the sun. I'm not keen on Egypt,Africa area etc and have been to Madeira. I had a look at Tunisia, Morroco, Turkey but am not sure, especailly after reading Tunisian men harrass females! I don't want to travel across the world, so I'm thinking maybe Spain is the place to go. Any idea would be appreciated. I have spent most of today surfing travel sites but when I find something in say Fuerteventura the prices are in the thousands... Or, if I find something more reasonable 4/5* the reviews have been very mixed ...

Any recommendations would be wonderful, thanks.

Tunisia and Morocco are also in Africa.

    Hi,

Erm, I do know that, I was saying I'd had a look at these areas...

Just been on another site and saw recommendations for Puerto Rico, Spain, Gloria Palace - Amadores. I didn't really want to book flight and hotel separate, especially over the Easter period as I'm a little concerned I'll book one and the other will go. I'm also awaiting my passport!

If you are dead set on going away at Easter i would try to book something as soon as possible as holidays at this time are very limited. If you see a package you like thats a reasonable price dont leave it hoping the price will come down because 9 times out of 10 it wont.
You probably already know this but you would be surprised the amount of people that hang on for a holiday they really want to find its either gone up in price or sold out.

If you give me a few more details i will have a look around for you.
Where do you want to fly from?
    Whats your budget?

How about Malta?Averaging around about 20-22ºC in April

    HI,

    Thanks for the replies.

I would fly from Liverpool or Manchester. Looking to go from 13th to 20th April but am flexible, as long as used over Easter break. I am looking for 1 week for a couple and 4-5 star hotel and sunshine.

Both of us have been working really hard and our in the midst of DIY hell, so need a break in the sun to continue our epic DIY project...

It's a case of finding the sun at this time of year and not travelling too far away. We love landscapes and scenery and visiting lovely gardens and zoo's and tasty food. I'd go to Cornwall if it was warm!
    Thanks.
  • Hi, Try the Thomson Al acarte brochure. Have a look at the Riu Palace Algarve. 1 week in May costs £1150 for 2 with Thomson. I have booked direct with Riu Hotels and booked a local flight to Faro for £723. We do lose out on taxi transfers and fruit and wine on arrival, we are hiring a car and Riu give you a glass of bubbly on arrival anyway. Everyone I know who's been to Portugal rates it very highly.

you get the advantages of booking seperatly i.e lower cost but its put together as a package. so no need to worry that one as gone.
If you do book them seperatly make sure you book the flight first, you can always finds another hotel might not be so easy or cheap to find another flight
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

    Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I'm having to sit tight for the moment, waiting for passport to be returned.

I just hope some last minute bargains surface when I get it back. I have still been looking but unless you want to go to Goa or Egypt which I don't or someonewhere I have already been, it's all very similar. Malta and the Canaries are still in the picture.

Don't you just love looking for a new holiday to a new destination, especially if you find one!
