hi,
will the new door be from the main house into the garage.
we wanted a door from our kitchen into the garage but were todl that we would have to have the garage floor dropped by 150mm to allow for any spilliages in the garage so they dont leak into the house.
just asked my builder (having extension done now) and he said inc new door £550
i hop this helps0 -
You wont need to drop the floor!! You just need a 100mm threshold between the house and the garage, or the garage floor to slope towards the garage door. The door between the house and the garage will need to be an FD 30s with closer. ( Half hour fire door with smoke seal and closer). and you will need a lintle put in above the door.. This will need to be a metal insulated lintle most likely..not just a concrete one .. as the wall is effectively an external wall. I would think you could get it done for £3000
