Visa are trialling a new type of Credit Card to Combat Fraud.

Visa claim that a PIN proves you are who you say you are (BBC Radio 5 Live - 13 May 2009).

It's a Barclaycard corporate card being trialled for CNP transactions. There's nothing new about the code generation, just that this card doesn't need the additional reader/PINpad to generate the code.

looks pretty impressive, but im sure the frausters will get around this one too after a while

Actually, there's not much they can do with it. The PIN's not stored on the card, and any PIN will generate a code. It isn't even (necessarily) the same PIN used by the payment side.
