I've just printed most of the couponnet coupons and they are all written with American dates, eg 6/5/2009. The compeed voucher comes with 9/20/2009.
Hope Tesco will realise this!
Mine is the same with the Compeed coupon. I hope they realise as well.
OLD TROUT or anybody else... if you work in Mr. T please advice them what is happening.0 -
If your supermarket won't honour them because the date is wrong, then write to the manufacturer (not couponstar) who will be upset to learn of the embarassment caused, probably compensate you, and more importantly tear off couponstar for getting their reputation spoilt. Manufacturers don't pay couponstar to !!!! up like this!
:rotfl::rotfl: I have already done it. I wrote to Hovis, Energizer & McCain Chippies. Telling that my coupons are useless! Hopefully, I get response (more like I prefer their coupons than letter!!) from them. Only McCain is freepost the other 2 hv to pay for stamps. My Philosophy, .... if you dont try, you dont get it.
btw, I enclosed the coupon back to :- Hovis, McCain & Energizer.
Latest saga :- Got a reply from Hovis, they will arranged for the coupon (s?) to be send to me. 1 down 2 to go.
btw, I received £1 (x2) off carling 15 pack brilliant barcode the only down side is valid at one-stop store only. starts with 5019180005847 (don't know what it means anyway it is not 99 code). I think instead of getting it for £9.99 with the coupon u r getting it for £8.99 no use to me anybody wants it? I dont drink, I dont smoke but I do eat a lot of see food (seafood) !!RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
Yep, you do get used to it. That's part of the fun. The longer the queue, the redder the faces', the louder the tuts' and the thicker my skin.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:so even if you're like me my advice is stick it out as I have used coupons for several months now - only 5 at a time allowed for quite a while now so the queue is never really held up - and I have saved around £380 and my target is £400 then it will be £450 etc - thanks to all of the advice and help from you lovely people:A
It is an awful lot of money to save for a bit of embarressment so stick with it like me and it will soon start adding up to a lot of money:DI am not a beige person:D0 -
oh and also i went to the couponnet website, first time the page was blank, i refreshed and it said i hadnt installed coupon printer before, then it went on to print my coupons, so.. something wrong with the website........... i bet it wont let me print another bread coupon now though
Edit:
Me again, i have just been squinting at my bread coupon and it does say the 5/6/09, if you look at the tiny words where you are suppose to cut the coupon out, there is small words, one says 22/05/09 which is todays date when i printed it, and the next day is the coupon end date 40p off valid until 5/6/09 :T
so you'll have to ask the cashier to squint
WELL SPOTTED they might be accepted then..but on the other hand they might think we have altered the coupon :eek:0 -

Sorry for those of you where it has gone wrong  but at my T I wouldn't even try to explain the american dates thingy  as they would think I was trying it on and probably ban me for lifeI am not a beige person:D0 -

Sorry if this upsets some, but sometimes I think some people can be a bit too quick to jump on others:eek:
Well as “some people” is clearly me I thought I should respond.
I did think it was more than likely a typo which is why I started my post as such, but as we all know we have a lot of newbies on the forum these last few days and I thought it would be a mistake not to clarify.
I have to say I am quite surprised at what I would I would consider to be a personal attack. In two weeks it will be a year since I have been posting on this thread and I have always tried to be helpful, and thought I was amongst friends (well as near as you can get on an anonymous forum) united in our search for MOC’s and having some fun along the way, I hope I wasn’t completely wrong.AKA: PC
