    In general, if you have an Epson printer that is flashing the green and red light simultaneously it will need "servicing". This is obviously just to extract more dough outta the user. If you take it to an Epson service centre (or center in your case Sher ;)) bit like taking your car to the garage. They will turn around and say "we cleaned the printer heads, honestly guv":rolleyes: As previously posted, you are correct in saying the "servicing" is required after a number of carriage movements. I do love Epson printers but then I can get my serviced for nothing. I would definitely recommend taking out extended warranty for us couponers.

    The main problems with Epsons in particular is that they dump an enormous amount of ink (Especially during a head clean) into the innards of the printer. There are 'nappies' (Pads) and in later models a 'tank' as well all designed to soak up the excess ink! This ink then solidifies and goes all gungy which invariably causes blockages and will lead to the need for a proper service. This will take 3-4 hours minimum and is very, very messy!!

    We find the average life of an epson is about 18 months before it needs a major service as above so given that (I suspect Sher) your's see's a lot of service:rolleyes: you are already reaching the time where it will give problems....Not sure if you can try taking it back to where it was bought? Failing that it's a tough choice, you will get a bit more out of it by resetting the counters but if the innards are full of dumped ink it will soon begin to play up again. - A full service will give you another several months (As long as the heads are not clogged) but you need someone technically savvy and willing to literally get their hands dirty (The ink is also a bu**er to get off your skin)

    Probably better to buy a cheap model and throw it away if you are going to use only for moc's and heavy usage....Or buy from a high street chain and try taking it back? Don't Argos do printers, they seem pretty good at taking faulty stuff back.
    :p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

    HELP

    Can anyone help, I've suddenly got grief. If I try to print anything off Couponstar, it says I haven't printed coupons before and I will have to download the coupon printer. I switch off pop up blocker and go through the motions accepting T&C's etc but nothing prints. If I click on Start / all programs, coupon printer is there but it still says I will have to download it. Any help would be really appreciated. :confused::confused::confused:

    Hi all
    I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as me
    When I try printing coupon - the last couple of times charmin/turkey a message comes up from Windows in a box saying : Runtime error!! this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsusual way please contact the application support team for more information
    but when I click OK thinking that is the way to report the error it just signs me off of the internet and takes me back to my log on page:eek:
    Anyone esle had this prob or any ideas what is the prob - any help advice wuould be greatly appreciated as it is stopping me printing coupons whe it happens
    It always happens to me:eek::mad:
    but at least the sun is out:j

    I have had this problem using vista and internet explorer, ....not sure what to do to fix it though, it only happens on couponnet and not any other program, it allows me to print one coupon and then terminates the program not allowing me to print again........you can print again but have to start from beginning again and register with a different email address, so all is not lost but it is a nuisance.

    I also use firefox and this doesn't seem to be a problem and works ok.
