I have been given a tv with freeview built in which I have in a bedroom. There is no aerial socket in the room so I need to get an indoor aerial, does anyone have any recommendations of where and which to get ?

Depends how strong your signal is.
I can get Freeview with a £.6.99 aerial off a market stall.
My son in a different part of the country can get Freeview using a laptop dongle.
My daughter however needs a high gain loft aerial.
Why not ask neighbours, or buy a cheapo from Argos knowing they will take it back if you need a stronger one.0 -
These are both Which? magazine Best Buys and got 5 stars for In-house reception, Sensitivity and Frequencies. The cheaper got 82% and the other 93%.

You are better off with a loft or roof aerial though, but you can take them back within 30 days from Argos if not good enough.0 -
Have a look at neighbours aerials. There are bound to be some new(ish) ones to give you an idea of what you'll need.Dave. :wave:0

I live in a block of flats so have no access to the aerial on the roof with out running a cable through the flat from the lounge to the bedroom, so I really need something for inside the room.0

Your aerial requirements are based solely on your geographical location, as others have said, try an indoor aerial by all means, however if it doesn't work, sadly you will need another solution.0 -
Hi,
you could try something like this, I use it for wee telly in kitchen, to save running cables through the house, works fine, though a bit of interference when using microwave.
You could try ebay, though if you got one from Argos, you could try it out first.0 -
I've just spent all morning fiddling about with an indoor aerial with an signal booster- utter rubbish- only managed to get 1 channel. will take it back for a refund and run a cable from the lounge aerial socket to the bedroom as I know the aerial on the roof is top notch.0
