White spots on salad leaves?

Oh dear! I've just noticed that my pot of salad leaves and also some rocket and a bell pepper plant, which are growing in my lobby, have some white spots on their leaves - looks like someone has splashed them with white paint (which they haven't). Can I do anything about this? Are they still safe to eat? I'm squeamish about things on leaves so I'm a bit hesitant if it's some kind of bug.

They're inside and I do use a water mister and the lobby is like a conservatory so gets very warm. But the spots don't come off if you rub them,which I'm assuming water spots would do.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
