help please ppi

I have recently been told that i am entitled to my ppi but because i have arrears on my loan it looks like the ppi is being offset to pay the arrears, can they do this. I have a payment plan in force and really need the ppi to help with other debts which will then leave me clear to pay my loan regularly i dont know what to do or where to go:cry::cry:

Hi there, unfortunately this seems to be the case if there are arrears, however, if anything is left from the refund after them offsetting on the loan, you could ask if they can pay this directly to you.
Good luck and ask them anyway just to make sure.;)

    You go for it.
Keep on at them, if they don't resolve this I'm sure the FOS will look into this for you, and possibly resolve this.;)

Just a thought...as you have arrears on your loan it may be worth them using the refund to reduce these arrears because it means you will pay less interest and charges on the loan in the long term.

hi there,I recently reclaimed mis-sold ppi on a loan. The company was only recieving £1 token payment at this time. They paid some towards my arrears and have sent a cheque for the remaining amount.
