Its normally best to stay with the Insurer who piad out on the flood claim.

Is there a reason you do not want to stay with them

    Oh right thank you

Was looking to see if I could get a better price but I guess I would be better off staying put

Was it a river flood or a freak flood eg the drains over flowed on a really heavy thunder storm.

    How much did you claim?

Whats your renewal premium and whats the excess?

We had really heavy rain in 2007 and had a flood in the basement, since then we had another 3.

I am paying £56.00 a month and I know it will be going up as our last claim was November 08, I am due my new policy any day now as It due 4th June.

Had a letter to say our excess is going from £200 to £350

Thats actually a very good deal, you would be wasting your time trying other companies.

It would be worth investing in some flood prevention measures as if you keep claiming you could get problems
  • The only special risks firm likely to look at that flood risk is Towergate. But I agree with dacouch; you're probably on a good deal. Your only alternative is to ask for quotes excluding flood cover, but I would really not recommend that!
